Hands for Kids Daycare & After-School Care has more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education and childcare. At our locations in Effretikon and Wallisellen, we offer bilingual and German-speaking childcare groups. Our aim is to support each child in their individual development and to prepare them with warmth and expertise for kindergarten and their future educational journey.
At Hands for Kids, every child is at the heart of what we do. We create an environment where children feel safe, secure and valued, enabling them to develop their social, emotional, language and motor skills.
Every child is unique. That is why we support each child individually, respecting their personality and nurturing their strengths according to their age and individual needs.
Our approach is inspired by Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi's guiding principle:
"Holistic education is shaped by the heart, the head and the hands – and we strive to provide children with the best possible balance of all three."
– Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi
We place great importance on a balanced diet and provide fresh, varied meals every day. We take each child's individual needs into account and encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.
Daily movement and outdoor play are a natural part of our daycare routine. Walks, playground visits and time in nature support children's motor skills, well-being and curiosity to explore the world around them.
Music is part of our everyday life. Through singing, rhythm and shared musical activities, we encourage language development, creativity and positive social interaction.
Experienced and dedicated professionals support your child at our bilingual daycare and after-school care centres in Wallisellen and Effretikon.
I have been developing and expanding childcare and after-school care services since 2009 and am also a mother of three.

Would you like to continue pursuing your career while giving your child the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally and linguistically in an age-appropriate environment? Then you have come to the right place.
At our daycare, we care for children from the age of three months to four years. We are then delighted to continue supporting them in our after-school care programme from kindergarten through to Year 2. This long-term approach builds trust and helps make the transition to school a positive and reassuring experience.
The relationships we develop with the children and the support of familiar caregivers help them navigate this important stage of development with confidence. Pick-up and transport services can also be arranged on request.
Children attending our daycare are given priority for places in our after-school care programme. In addition, we are open for 51 weeks of the year, offering families a high degree of flexibility. We close only between Christmas and New Year and on public holidays.
In our bright, child-friendly facilities and nature-inspired setting, we support the individual development of every child. Our focus is not only on outcomes, but above all on learning, discovering and growing together.
Are you looking to place your daycare centre in trusted hands?
We have extensive experience in taking over and further developing daycare centres and would be delighted to hear from you. If desired, we can retain existing teams and place great importance on continuity, trust and respectful collaboration with everyone involved.
Naturally, all enquiries are treated with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
Do you rent commercial or residential premises and could imagine having a daycare centre in your building or neighbourhood?
We have experience in planning and establishing daycare locations and would be delighted to hear from you. As more and more families depend on balancing work and family life, access to high-quality childcare within residential communities is becoming increasingly important.
A daycare centre can enhance the attractiveness of a property and create genuine added value for families and the wider neighbourhood.
We look forward to meeting you and your child in person. We would be delighted to arrange a visit, show you around our daycare, answer your questions and take the time to get to know your family. In cooperation with the local authorities, subsidised childcare places are also available.
