These regulations apply to both locations, Wallisellen and Effretikon, as well as to both the daycare and the after-school care.
The daycare run by "Hands for Kids International Preschool" admits children of all nationalities and all faiths. It is politically neutral.
Admission is considered final once the childcare agreement between "Hands for Kids International Preschool" and the parents has been signed and the deposit has been paid.
After consultation with management and specialist staff, a child with a disability may also be admitted to a group. However, competent care must be ensured (if necessary, additional training for carers). Children with disabilities take up 1.5 places.
The "Hands for Kids International Preschool" daycare is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:30pm.
The daycare remains closed:
An annual schedule with public holidays and the Christmas/New Year closure is given to parents at the start of the year. It also shows events for parents and children, as well as any projects and topics planned at the daycare.
Children must be dropped off in the morning between 7:00am and 9:00am at the latest, and must be picked up promptly in the evening between 4:00pm and 6:30pm. Late pick-ups require staff to work longer hours and will be charged in addition to the regular fee (CHF 30 per 15 minutes). If a child is to be collected by a third party, this must be communicated to the group leaders or the daycare manager in good time. Otherwise, we will contact the parents by phone and, in case of uncertainty, keep the child with us.
In the child's best interest, regular attendance at the "Hands for Kids International Preschool" daycare is required. For a child to settle in well with the group, they must attend at least 2 days a week. Children attend on fixed days.
Parents may not bring an unwell child (high fever or contagious illness) to the daycare. If a child becomes unwell during their time at the daycare, parents will be informed immediately by phone by the carers and asked to collect them.
Parents are always informed about any childhood illnesses or other illnesses currently circulating.
In an emergency, carers will contact the child's paediatrician, the daycare's trusted doctor, or directly the children's hospital.
In the event of an accident, all costs, such as taxi fares and emergency doctor fees, are borne by the parents.
Parents are asked to inform us if their child will be absent due to illness, holidays or other reasons. This should be done as early as possible.
Health insurance, as well as accident and liability insurance for the children, is the responsibility of the parents.
The "Hands for Kids" daycare is not liable for damage to, or loss of, personal belongings.
A daycare or after-school care place can be terminated by either party in writing, by registered letter, with three months' notice, effective at the end of the calendar month. If the notice period is not observed, the full monthly fee will continue to be charged for the remaining duration of the notice period.
These provisions apply to both locations, Wallisellen and Effretikon, as well as to both the daycare and the after-school care.

The monthly flat rate is based on a daily rate of CHF 120.00 for toddlers; the infant rate of CHF 135.00 applies up to and including the 19th month.
The monthly fee is transferred to the "Hands for Kids" daycare's account by the 28th of the preceding month, either by standing order, every six months (1.5% discount), or annually (3% discount). The monthly flat rate is payable in full even in the event of holiday absence, illness or other non-attendance.

In a preliminary discussion, carers plan the settling-in period together with the parents. For the wellbeing of both the child and the parents, this begins with gradually increasing time spent at the daycare. The settling-in period lasts approximately 2 weeks and is charged at a flat rate of CHF 300.
A deposit of CHF 1,000 must be paid before the place is confirmed.
This amount is refunded without interest when the childcare agreement ends. If you find an alternative solution for your child before the start of care, we are unable to refund the deposit in this case, as registration always involves significant effort and the place was held exclusively for your child.
If parents would like additional childcare on top of their fixed days, this can be arranged by speaking with the daycare management. Additional childcare hours are charged separately.
If more than one child from the same family attends the "Hands for Kids" daycare, we offer a 10% sibling discount on the standard daily rate. This is applied to the lower amount.
Discounts cannot be combined. Discounts are applied on the next monthly invoice. No refunds are given for services already invoiced.
This discount can only be granted for as long as all siblings continue to attend "Hands for Kids" daycares.
